Veterans and Fireworks: Let's Set the Record Straight
Veterans and Fireworks — Let’s Set the Record Straight
At 1st Class Fireworks, we believe in celebrating freedom the right way—with fireworks, family, and community. But lately, there’s been growing pressure to ban fireworks altogether, using veterans’ PTSD as the main reason.
Here’s the thing:
Many veterans don’t agree with that. In fact, a new group—the NFA Veterans Committee—was formed by veterans in the fireworks industry who are saying,
“Hold up… we love fireworks too!”
These patriotic vets are seeing a serious disconnect. While some are pushing bans in the name of helping veterans, the vets we know—and the ones who shop with us—are proudly signing petitions to keep fireworks going.
They see fireworks as a symbol of the freedom they fought for.

Help us set the record straight. Help us protect this tradition.
Here is how you can help:

Your voice matters—and when we speak up together, lawmakers and decision-makers listen. Let’s make sure they hear the real story from the people who matter most.
We can absolutely support veterans and still celebrate with fireworks. Let’s prove it.
